The Wisconsin Badgers received disappointing news on Saturday when Muizz Tounkara, a three-star wide receiver for 2025, announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats.
Tounkara had narrowed his choices to Wisconsin, Arizona, and Kansas, with Wisconsin and Arizona considered the frontrunners. However, he ultimately chose Arizona, leaving Wisconsin with only two receivers committed for their 2025 class: four-star prospects Cameron Miller and Eugene Hilton.
Originally from Texas, Tounkara is 6’3 and weighs 195 pounds, fitting the profile of an outside receiver, a position Wisconsin was eager to bolster alongside Hilton.
Following an official visit in early June, Tounkara continued to explore his options, while Hilton committed the following weekend. Wisconsin extended an offer to Tounkara relatively late in May, just two weeks before his official visit, but both sides showed strong interest throughout the recruitment process.
In the end, despite their efforts, the Badgers were unsuccessful in securing Tounkara, who opted to join the Arizona Wildcats instead.
