According to journalist Ben Jacobs speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Newcastle United are keen on acquiring Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer. However, they face competition from Chelsea and Brighton in the race to secure his signature.
Summerville had a standout season in the 2023/24 Championship, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists in 43 appearances as Leeds narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League. His impressive performances have attracted interest from several clubs, with Newcastle reportedly among the leading contenders for his transfer.
Jacobs noted that Leeds are open to selling Summerville during this transfer window, and Newcastle view the Dutch winger as a potential replacement for Miguel Almiron. A transfer fee around £40 million has been previously discussed, a sum that Newcastle, backed by substantial financial resources, are unlikely to shy away from.
