BREAKING NEWS: Newcastle United set to secure a multi-million pounds deal with top EPL striker

According to The Athletic, Newcastle United are eyeing Chelsea winger Noni Madueke as a potential addition to their squad. Discussions have taken place internally at Newcastle regarding the 22-year-old English winger, who has faced challenges establishing himself in Chelsea’s first team under Mauricio Pochettino during the first half of the 2023/24 season. Despite this, Madueke showed improvement in the latter part of the season, contributing eight goals and three assists in 34 appearances.

Having joined Chelsea in January 2023, Madueke is considered a part of the club’s long-term plans under Enzo Maresca. Newcastle, in search of attacking reinforcements, particularly on the right-wing amid speculation about Miguel Almiron’s departure, has identified Madueke as one of several targets. However, any potential deal with Chelsea for the former PSV Eindhoven talent would likely require a substantial offer, given Chelsea’s belief in his potential.

Newcastle’s pursuit for attacking options extends to Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga and West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, with interest also in Spain’s Nico Williams. Their pursuit, however, is complicated by adherence to Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), exemplified by their failed attempt to secure French winger Michael Olise due to salary issues compared to Bayern Munich’s proposal.

Despite their ambitious targets, Newcastle’s quest for reinforcements may also involve seeking a striker if Callum Wilson departs, with previous interest in Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin ending over contractual terms.
