Kentucky has recently emerged as a hub for top-tier high school basketball talent, with standout players like Reed Sheppard and Travis Perry coming through in recent recruiting cycles.
In the upcoming 2025 class, Kentucky boasts two promising prospects, including five-star guard Jasper Johnson.
Johnson, who played for Link Academy last season, has opted to transfer to a different program for his final year of high school.
According to a report from Joe Tipton of On3, Johnson has chosen to join Overtime Elite in Atlanta. This academy has notably served as a pathway for Kentucky talents such as Robert Dillingham and Jordan Burks in recent years.

Despite changes in coaching, Kentucky remains well-connected with Overtime Elite, which could prove advantageous in the long term.
Currently, Alabama and North Carolina appear to lead the recruitment race, but Kentucky remains a contender.
If Kentucky can secure an official visit and perform well under Coach Pope in the upcoming season, their chances of bringing Johnson to Lexington could significantly improve.
The recruitment process promises to be intriguing in the coming months.
