The media has unveiled their projections post SEC Media Days for everything related to the conference, and they’ve given accolades to a few Texas A&M football players. Nic Scourton and Shemar Turner have secured spots on the all-SEC second team, while Trey Zuhn has been placed on the all-SEC third team.
Scourton and Turner are expected to be formidable figures on the defensive line. There’s strong belief that the Aggie defensive line could be among the nation’s best this season. There’s even speculation that neither Scourton nor Turner will be the most talked-about player in that unit by season’s end. The potential of sophomore David Hicks is seen as exceptionally high, especially considering his contributions last year despite playing sparingly in a deep position group.
Additionally, players like Shemar Stewart, Rylan Kennedy, and Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy are also notable mentions. Predictions suggest that some Aggie defensive linemen might make the first team by the season’s conclusion.

On the offensive side, Zuhn stands alone as the representative from Texas A&M on the list. This means other key players like Conner Weigman, Noah Thomas, Moose Muhammad, and Donovan Green did not make the cut. Despite recent offensive struggles, expectations are optimistic under Klein’s system, which is anticipated to garner more national attention.
Among other observations, Georgia dominates the first team with six players spanning offense and defense. Ole Miss and Alabama follow with three each. Of the conference newcomers, Oklahoma leads with two defensive players (DB Billy Bowman and LB Danny Stutsman), while Texas’s Kelvin Banks and former Aggie Walter Nolen also earned spots on the first team.
