Ipswich Town are reportedly contemplating a move for FC Dallas striker Petar Musa. Tractor Boys manager Kieran McKenna has already bolstered his squad with five signings this summer, and it’s understood he is eager to make additional acquisitions ahead of their Premier League opener against Liverpool on August 17.
Musa, who joined Dallas from Benfica in February for a club-record fee of around 7.5 million, has been in impressive form in the MLS this season, scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances. The 26-year-old Croatian international previously played 66 times for Benfica, netting 17 goals.
Ipswich’s interest in Musa comes amid reports that their bid for Blackburn Rovers forward Sammie Szmodics was turned down. There are now suggestions that Leeds United have also joined the race for Szmodics.
