OFFICIALLY COMFIRMED: Buffalo Sabres, Beck Malenstyn Settle

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with Beck Malenstyn on a deal worth $1.35 million annually for the next two seasons.

Malenstyn, who was acquired by the Sabres during the 2024 NHL Draft from the Washington Capitals in exchange for the 43rd overall pick, was set to go to arbitration before reaching this settlement.

Washington Capitals re-sign Beck Malenstyn

The 26-year-old left winger spent several years in the Capitals organization, alternating between the NHL and AHL. Last season marked his first full NHL campaign, during which he recorded 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) in 81 regular-season games and also played in four playoff games.

Originally drafted by the Capitals in 2016, Malenstyn has played a total of 109 NHL games so far in his career.
