Stephon Gilmore is looking for a new team for the 2024 season and will be heading to Minnesota for discussions. According to NFL reporter Josina Anderson, Gilmore is scheduled to fly to Minneapolis on Sunday for a meeting with the Vikings on Monday.
The Vikings are dealing with a significant roster change after losing Mekhi Blackmon to a season-ending ACL injury sustained in training camp last month. They also recently traded cornerback Andrew Booth to Dallas in exchange for Nahshon Wright, signaling adjustments to their original plans. The team’s current cornerback lineup includes Byron Murphy, Shaq Griffin, Fabian Moreau, Akayleb Evans, A.J. Green, Duke Shelley, Jacobi Francis, and Jaylin Williams, in addition to Wright.
Last season, Gilmore played every game for the Cowboys, recording 68 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. He was previously with the Patriots from 2017 to 2021, where Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores was on the staff during Gilmore’s first two years with New England.
