The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers are set to be strong contenders for the NFC North title in 2024, a rivalry that could persist for several years, especially with both the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings starting over at quarterback this season.
Recently, the Lions shared encouraging news for their defense. NFL reporter Ian Rapoport has confirmed that rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold, the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, will not miss any regular-season games due to his pec injury.
Arnold was initially reported to have an upper-body injury and was seen with a trainer during Monday’s season-ticket member practice. Meanwhile, Carlton Davis III, expected to start opposite Arnold, missed practice due to an unspecified illness. The Lions are awaiting further updates on Davis and Rakestraw. It is unlikely that head coach Dan Campbell will address the media again until the preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
If Arnold remains healthy, he is expected to play a significant role in the Lions’ defensive strategy.
