BREAKING NEWS: Oklahoma Sooners Finally Acquires Four-star Target.

Semaj Stanford has earned a four-star rating and is ranked among the early top 100 prospects for the 2027 cycle, a distinction reserved for the elite. Stanford, a safety from Jenks High School in Oklahoma, is reaping the rewards of his hard work as he prepares for the upcoming high school football season.

As the offseason ends and high school football ramps up, 247Sports has released its initial Top 100 rankings for the class of 2027, highlighting prospects who are about to begin their sophomore seasons. Among the notable risers in the rankings is Oklahoma 2027 commit Zane Rowe. While evaluating prospects with three more years of high school ahead is challenging, 247Sports’ scouting team has a strong track record of identifying future blue-chip talent.

Joining Rowe in the rankings is in-state target Semaj Stanford, who now holds a four-star rating and a spot among the top 100 players in his class, a recognition given only to the very best.

According to the 247Sports Network’s rankings, Semaj Stanford is ranked No. 77 nationally in the 2027 class, making him a top-80 overall talent. Stanford holds a four-star rating and is listed as the sixth-best safety in his class, as well as the top-rated player in Oklahoma.

Stanford, who stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds, possesses the size that many defensive backs coaches across the country seek in a prospect. He has already received 14 scholarship offers, including one from Oklahoma, where he recently attended the Sooners Under the Stars event. In addition to playing safety, Stanford also lines up as a wide receiver and has reportedly clocked a 4.51 40-yard dash. Last season, he contributed to Jenks’ run to a Class 6A-I state runner-up finish by scoring six touchdowns, intercepting four passes, and forcing two fumbles.
