ICYMI: Anthony Edwards trash-talked his Minnesota Timberwolves teammate in the Olympic basketball gold medal game.

Sunday afternoon’s men’s basketball final at the 2024 Paris Olympics has been packed with action and excitement in the first half. The USA and France have been trading baskets throughout the period. During one of Team USA’s three-point shots, Minnesota Timberwolves fans saw their star big man, Rudy Gobert of France, face off against their star guard, Anthony Edwards.

On that play, Edwards made a three-pointer over his Timberwolves teammate Gobert. What followed drew significant attention: Edwards followed up the basket with some trash talk directed at Gobert. You can watch the former Georgia Bulldog’s post-basket remarks in the video below.

At halftime, Team USA leads France 49-41. Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker is leading the US in scoring with 13 points, while Guerschon Yabusele of France tops all scorers with 15 points.
