BREAKING NEWS: ESPN fired popular media personality after support of the Noles

Florida State football lacks widespread support within the media, with ESPN analysts like Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy expressing their discontent with the Seminoles.

Yet, former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III defended Florida State, praising their undefeated record despite relying on backup and third-string quarterbacks, and criticizing their exclusion from the College Football Playoff.

However, multiple sources report that ESPN terminated Robert Griffin III’s contract on Thursday afternoon. Known for his vibrant on-screen presence, his departure means Seminole fans won’t hear him commentate on another Florida State touchdown.

Despite claims to the contrary, some believe ESPN may have an agenda against Florida State, especially with the Seminoles embroiled in a legal dispute with the ACC over the Grant of Rights agreement lasting until 2036.

It seems the Seminoles are often the target of criticism. Still, head coach Mike Norvell is focused on keeping his team’s message clear.

ESPN’s apparent stance against dissenting opinions regarding Florida State has led to Robert Griffin III’s exit—though the notion that ESPN fires employees for differing views is somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Robert Griffin III’s wife, Grete Griffin, is a Florida State alumna, and as the saying goes, “Happy wife, happy life.”

Griffin III should be remembered by Seminole fans as a supporter of fairness in college football. I’m confident he’ll return to television soon.

Hopefully, FOX will pick him up when Florida State joins the Big Ten (*insert eyeball emoji*). Wishing Griffin III the best of luck in his next career move.
