Last year, Michigan completed an undefeated season with a 15-0 record, securing their first national championship since the 1997-1998 season. USC, ranked 23rd in the 2024-2025 preseason AP Poll, is coming off an 8-5 season.
USC’s potent offense will face a challenge against Michigan’s formidable defense, which is led by preseason All-Americans Will Johnson and Mason Graham. In contrast, USC’s defense was ranked 121st nationally last season, significantly trailing Michigan, which topped the rankings in that category.
