When three-star defensive lineman Joseph Mbatchou from Loganville (GA) Grayson committed to the Florida Gators at the end of July, they were his only Power Five offer. While this was certainly attractive, the Gators also impressed Mbatchou with their thorough responses to his questions and their strong, swift relationship-building. Mbatchou had been advised by the Florida staff to expect new offers from other teams.
Since then, South Carolina, Auburn, and Texas have entered the picture. With these new offers on the table, Mbatchou is keen to explore them further.
“It’s been exciting to see other schools show interest,” Mbatchou said about the new attention. “I plan to visit these schools to see what they have to offer. While I’m open to considering my options, I’ll remember that Florida was the first to recruit me, recognize my talents, and support me. I want to visit these new schools, likely on official visits, though I haven’t set any dates yet.”
