Antonio Harris, a senior at Male High School, is recognized as an ‘athlete’ and is anticipated to play in the secondary at the collegiate level. However, this season, the University of Louisville commit is taking on the role of quarterback for the Bulldogs.
Harris expressed his willingness to “do whatever this team needs to win,” and in their season-opening 47-0 rout of Butler, he showcased his skills by leading the offense effectively. He played four series as quarterback, guiding the Bulldogs to four touchdown drives, and also had a brief stint at wide receiver.
During the game, Harris rushed three times for approximately 85 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown run.
Reflecting on his performance, Harris told Cardinal Authority, “It was great to lead the offense and play quarterback. It was a new experience, but I’m taking it day by day. As a senior, I know I need to step up and lead the team. I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to win.”
