BREAKING NEWS: Eagles WR Jahan Dotson Issues Stern Warning to Washington Commanders

Jahan Dotson is entering his third NFL season, now with a new team. The Philadelphia Eagles acquired him in a trade with the Washington Commanders on Thursday, positioning him as a third option at wide receiver behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Dotson, who had an impressive rookie season after being picked in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Commanders, saw a slight decline in his second year, recording 49 receptions for 518 yards and four touchdowns over 17 games. Dotson expressed surprise at the trade but acknowledged it as part of the NFL business.

The 24-year-old receiver said he won’t take it personally until the Eagles face Washington in Week 11. “I spoke with coach Dan Quinn and Mr. Adam Peters, and they expressed high regard for me,” Dotson said. “It’s just one of those things that happen in the NFL. I won’t take it personally until I face Washington.”

Dotson was already on the Eagles’ sideline during their preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. After the game, he spoke to the media for the first time since the trade, expressing his enthusiasm. “I’m excited to be here,” Dotson said. “I can’t wait to wear the black and green, and I’m eager to get to work.” The Eagles are set to face the Commanders in a primetime Thursday Night Football game on November 14, with another divisional clash scheduled for Week 16.
