BREAKING NEWS: Washington Capitals Veteran has rejoined the team, bringing excitement and fresh energy.

On Monday at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, the Washington Capitals continued to improve through informal skating sessions. Dylan Strome joined the ice alongside Hershey Bears forward Garrett Roe and South Carolina Stingrays forward Ryan Leibold for the team’s on-ice activities.

According to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News, other Capitals players included Pierre-Luc Dubois, Matt Roy, John Carlson, Jakub Vrana, Alex Alexeyev, Vincent Iorio, Alex Limoges, and Logan Thompson, along with former Caps winger Anthony Mantha and emerging talents like Ayo Adeniye and Eric Charpentier.

Silber mentioned that the session began with drills and two-on-two games before moving to a scrimmage. Dubois, Iorio, and Roy stood out with their performance. Adeniye, in particular, has made a strong impression in Arlington.

The practice then intensified with line-to-line sprints in preparation for the rigorous skate test that kicks off training camp. Dubois took the lead, while Vrana led his group. Alex Ovechkin is anticipated to return in early September.

In other news, prospects Pierrick Dube and Antonie Keller have been selected to represent Team France in the upcoming Olympic qualifier. France aims to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, and Dube and Keller will join a robust team.

Dube, who recently signed an entry-level contract with the Capitals after winning the Calder Cup with the Hershey Bears, recorded 28 goals and 20 assists for 48 points in the regular season and added seven goals and 10 points in 17 playoff games despite playing through injuries. He also made his NHL debut in three games.

Keller, drafted in 2023, just completed his first North American season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL, posting a 17-12-2 record with an .897 save percentage in the regular season and a 4-2-1 record with a .925 save percentage in the playoffs. France will compete in the Group F final ice hockey qualification starting August 29, facing Latvia, Slovenia, and Ukraine for a chance to qualify.
