There’s nothing quite like the bond between two brothers. But let’s be honest, there’s also nothing like the thrill of finding some extra cash. Remember the excitement of discovering an extra $20 in your pocket while doing laundry? Now, imagine finding 5 million of them. That’s the kind of week Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce and his younger brother Travis are having.
Not long after the news broke that Jason would be joining ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown crew, we heard that the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast was in talks with Amazon for a massive streaming deal. If we recall correctly, that was in May. Now, three months later, that deal has indeed come to fruition in a big way.
Amazon and the Kelce brothers will indeed partner to the tune of a nine-figure deal.
Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast joins Amazon’s Wondery by way of a $100 million deal.
Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post was the first to report that Jason and Travis Kelce’s show was in talks for a significant deal with Amazon. On Tuesday morning, Variety’s Todd Spangler confirmed that these negotiations have now resulted in a new agreement.
Here’s more from Sapngler’s story.
“New Heights will continue to be available widely on all podcast services, including Wondery’s various distribution channels and on YouTube. The deal also includes ad-free listening for Wondery Plus subscribers, livestreams, and rights to develop, manufacture, license and distribute all merchandise based on New Heights, including new consumer products. Wave Sports + Entertainment will continue to provide production services for New Heights.”
Congratulations to Jason and Travis on securing what amounts to 5 million fresh $20 bills! Talk about building generational wealth! If they continue on this path, their great, great, great-grandchildren could be set for life, unless they choose to work for the sheer enjoyment of it.
It’s all about creating a legacy and ensuring a prosperous future for the family.
