Central Michigan Breaks Silence: First Statement on Connor Stalions’ Investigation Unveiled. The new Netflix documentary on Connor Stalions and his sign-stealing scandal has just premiered, offering an in-depth look at Stalions’ actions and his version of events. Spoiler alert: Stalions’ account is filled with fabrications.
In the meantime, Central Michigan Breaks Silence as they has finally issued their first statement regarding the situation, nearly 10 months after the allegations surfaced. It seems they’re aware of the investigation’s details but are restricted from sharing specifics due to NCAA regulations.

Nevertheless, it’s clear that Stalions attended last season’s game between Michigan State and Central Michigan unlawfully while donning CMU gear—something that doesn’t need NCAA confirmation to be understood.
What remains uncertain is the extent of Michigan’s potential punishment. With the dishonesty surrounding this investigation, vacating wins or titles could be a fitting consequence. Additionally, Central Michigan should face repercussions for allowing Stalions on their sidelines. Ideally, Michigan State might consider canceling future games with CMU, as there are other, more reliable opponents available.
As for the investigation’s conclusion, we’re in for a wait—Michigan has 90 days to respond to the NCAA’s Notice of Allegations issued on Sunday.
