The Seattle Seahawks are bringing in a new edge rusher.
According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, the Seahawks are signing outside linebacker Tyus Bowser. The 29-year-old had attracted interest from the Dallas Cowboys and even visited with them recently. However, Bowser has chosen to reunite with Mike Macdonald, who was the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator during the 2022 and 2023 seasons and served as a defensive assistant during Bowser’s first four seasons from 2017 to 2020.
“The Seahawks announced three practice squad moves, including the addition of OLB Tyus Bowser,” Henderson reports. “The 29-year-old Bowser reunites with Mike Macdonald after spending his entire career so far with Baltimore. Seattle also signed CB Faion Hicks and released OT Garret Greenfield.”
Before committing to the Seahawks, Bowser had met with the Cowboys, who are still looking to strengthen their defensive line. Dallas had recently acquired defensive tackle Jordan Phillips via trade from the New York Giants and signed veteran defensive end Carl Lawson, only to release Lawson during the 53-man roster cutdowns.
