Bills’ are set with one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, Josh Allen, but uncertainty looms over their backup situation heading into the 2024 season.
Recently, the Bills signed Mike White to bolster their quarterback depth, hoping he could step into a third-string role. The immediate backup spot, however, is still unclear.
Mitch Trubisky, who was brought back to provide solid backup support, has been dealing with a knee injury that might sideline him longer than expected. USA Today’s Nick Wojton noted that Trubisky’s return to practice has been limited, with his participation being minimal during media-access periods.
As it stands, Trubisky is Buffalo’s primary backup to Allen, but his health is crucial for the team’s readiness. Without Trubisky at full strength, the Bills face uncertainty about their competitiveness if Allen is unavailable.
