We’re just one Sunday away from the Seattle Seahawks starting their 2024 regular season against the Denver Broncos. The initial 53-man roster has stayed the same since Tuesday’s roster cuts, but it could see changes as early as Monday when Seattle resumes practice.
The situation is different for the Seahawks’ practice squad, which has seen a few changes since Wednesday. To keep you informed, here’s the current practice squad as of September 1st:
Offense
- RB George Holani (No. 36)
- WR Cody White (No. 82)
- WR Easop Winston Jr (No. 13)
- TE Tyler Mabry (No. 85)
- T McClendon Curtis (No. 66)
- T Max Pircher (No. 69) – International Player Pathway exception
Defense
- DT Kyon Barrs (No. 73)
- DE DeVere Levelson (No. 98)
- OLB Tyus Bowser (No. 56)
- OLB Tyreke Smith (No. 59)
- LB Michael Barrett (No. 43)
- LB Patrick O’Connell (No. 52)
- CB Artie Burns (No. 23)
- CB Josh Jobe (No. 29)
- CB Faion Hicks (No. 30)
- S Ty Okada (No. 39)
- S Marquise Blair (No. 13)
Players removed from the initial practice squad
- OL Raiqwon O’Neal
- OL Garret Greenfield
As a side note, either Winston or Blair will need to relinquish the No. 13 jersey soon. We’ll provide an update on that uniform number as soon as it happens.
What’s interesting about the current practice squad is the absence of any quarterbacks. This will likely change soon, but for now, the Seahawks are one of the few NFL teams without a third QB on either the active roster or practice squad.
