Exciting Reveal: Zac Taylor’s Stunning Choice for Bengals’ Opener Against Patriots

Zac Taylor, The Bengals are starting the 2024 season with Trent Brown at right tackle and Dax Hill as the second starting outside cornerback alongside Cam Taylor-Britt.

Brown was expected to start at his position after Amarius Mims’ injury limited their competition, while Hill and D.J. Turner II had been competing closely over the past month.

Zac Taylor emphasized that Turner didn’t “lose” the position; Hill simply had a slight advantage.

“It was a great competition,” Taylor said. “It wasn’t about one guy failing and the other getting the spot. Both players pushed each other to be their best, and Dax earning the role is positive. That doesn’t mean D.J. won’t play or that we don’t have plans for other players. It’s a long season, and players need to stay ready for their chances.”

Brown has excelled as an offensive tackle on both sides of the line, and Cincinnati hopes for another standout season from him in 2024.

“Trent’s been outstanding for us,” Taylor remarked after the announcement. “We’ve managed his workload during training camp, but he’s a pro who has taken good care of himself. I’m looking forward to seeing him perform.”
