BREAKING: Sooners Sign Top Star Wide Receiver On A Long Term Deal, Fueling Offensive Revolution

On Tuesday afternoon, 5-star wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster from DeSoto (TX) announced he will be visiting Norman this weekend to watch Oklahoma take on Houston.

Feaster, who is among several prospects visiting for the Sooners’ Week 2 game, stands out as the most prominent recruit confirming his visit. At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Feaster is ranked as the No. 8 prospect nationwide and the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class by 247Sports.

As a key player for the Eagles, one of Texas’s premier teams, Feaster earned MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors and played a crucial role in DeSoto’s second consecutive state championship in 2023. In his freshman year, he recorded 32 receptions for 634 yards and nine touchdowns.

Feaster shares the field with 4-star SMU commit Daylon Singleton, who is two years his senior and received more passes last season. Feaster’s visit to Norman will not be his first; he previously attended the Sooners’ “Future Freaks” event in the spring and participated in their annual football camp last summer.

With Feaster narrowing down his list of over 40 offers to just 18 finalists, it appears that Emmett Jones and the Sooners are in a strong position with this highly sought-after recruit.

Along with Oklahoma, the schools that made Feaster’s top 18 list include Nebraska, Mississippi, TCU, Texas Tech, Penn State, USC, Tennessee, Colorado, Texas A&M, Miami, Texas, SMU, Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, LSU, and Baylor.

Brent Venables and the Sooners currently have one commitment for the 2027 class: 4-star edge rusher Zane Rowe from Denton Guyer (TX). Rowe, who is ranked as the No. 47 overall prospect and the No. 3 defensive lineman in the nation, also earned MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors and hails from the Dallas area, just like Feaster.

Although the Sooners have made significant strides in Feaster’s recruitment, they will face stiff competition from several top programs to secure a commitment from this highly coveted wide receiver.
