Alabama had 61 players on NFL Week One rosters, marking 2024 as the eighth straight season Alabama led (or tied) all colleges in NFL representation. This is the highest number of Crimson Tide players ever to start a season in the league.
Ohio State ranked second with 51 players, followed by Georgia (45), Michigan (40), LSU (39), Penn State (36), Oklahoma (33), Washington (32), and Texas (31).
Nick Saban’s success at Alabama was driven by his recruiting prowess, as shown by the number of players he’s sent to the NFL. While Saban is now retired, Alabama still holds a significant lead in NFL representation, though another program may eventually take the top spot.
