On Thursday night, the Yankees secured their second consecutive walk-off win with a 2-1 victory against the Boston Red Sox. Despite the triumph, the team’s offense continued to struggle, managing just seven hits while striking out eight times and drawing five walks.
A key issue for the Yankees has been a noticeable drop in home runs, particularly with Aaron Judge, who has gone 16 straight home games without hitting one. Although Judge’s power has diminished, he remains productive by making contact and drawing walks. While his slump is concerning, the Yankees remain optimistic that their star will regain his form soon.
Though a more dominant win would have been preferred, the Yankees aren’t complaining. As they push for the top spot in the American League East, every win counts.
