Ole Miss has extended an offer to one of the top cornerbacks in the 2026 class. This week, the Rebels made their move on four-star prospect Chauncey Kennon, a 6-2, 170-pound cornerback from Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. Kennon is ranked as the No. 2 cornerback nationally, the No. 9 player in Florida’s 2026 class, and No. 41 in the Top247 by 247Sports. In the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is listed as the No. 10 cornerback in the country, the No. 14 player from Florida, and the No. 97 player overall.
Kennon’s early offer list also includes SEC teams like Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee, along with other schools such as Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Colorado, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Marshall, Nebraska, Kansas, Louisville, UNLV, UCF, South Florida, and Western Kentucky. Auburn, Ole Miss, Kansas, and Louisville have all extended offers this month as Kennon’s new game film gains attention.
Currently, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Miami, and Michigan are noted as strong contenders on his 247Sports profile.
