PHILADELPHIA — Mets All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor is set to undergo an MRI on his sore back after being forced to leave a game for the second time in three days.

Lindor exited Sunday’s 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies due to lower back discomfort in the second inning. He had also left Friday’s game in the seventh inning and was held out of Saturday’s lineup.

Lindor singled to center to start the game on Sunday and recorded an assist on Trea Turner’s grounder in the bottom of the first inning. He said the discomfort started after taking the first few steps out of the batter’s box following his first-inning hit.
