USC Trojans Boost Squad In Signing Top Star Cornerback On a Stunning Deal
Braylen Bedford and the Vardaman (Miss.) High School football team have started the season strong with a 3-0 record, thanks in large part to Bedford’s contributions as a 2028 athlete. In their victories over Nanih Waiya (30-29), Bruce (40-8), and French Camp (41-0), he has recorded seven receptions for 213 yards and a touchdown, 14 carries for 132 yards and a score, and 24 tackles while playing cornerback.
As a ninth grader, Bedford has already received an SEC offer from the Ole Miss Rebels, indicating he is on track to become one of Mississippi’s top prospects in the future.
In a jaw-dropping move, the USC Trojans have secured top cornerback recruit Jordan Matthews, significantly strengthening their defensive lineup. The deal, reportedly worth $1.5 million over four years, comes as a game-changer for the Trojans, who aim to reclaim their status as national contenders. Matthews, a five-star recruit from Texas, is known for his exceptional speed and ball skills. Head coach Lincoln Riley expressed excitement about the signing, highlighting Matthews’ potential to impact both the field and locker room. This strategic acquisition is expected to elevate USC’s prospects in the upcoming season.
