The New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles are set to clash in Week 3, but this matchup looks much different than anticipated. Before the season began, many expected the Eagles to easily secure a win in New Orleans. However, after two games, the Saints are 2-0 and looking like one of the best teams in the league, while the Eagles, at 1-1, are still trying to perform up to their potential.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, they might have to find their rhythm without one of their top players. On Wednesday, the Eagles released their first injury report of the week, and though it wasn’t as long as the Saints’, it featured a significant name. Star wide receiver A.J. Brown was listed, having missed practice due to a lingering hamstring injury.
Brown’s hamstring issue isn’t new, as he missed the Eagles’ Week 2 Monday Night Football game, and it now seems uncertain whether he’ll play against New Orleans. His status will be monitored closely by both teams’ fanbases throughout the week.
If Brown is unavailable, it would be a big advantage for the Saints. Though the Eagles still have a stacked offense with Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and DeVonta Smith, not having to account for a near-1,500-yard receiver will make things easier for New Orleans.
