Arizona State freshman quarterback Sam Leavitt has secured his first local NIL deal by partnering with Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. As part of the agreement, the restaurant will introduce the “Sam Leavitt QB 10 Wrap,” offering a choice of Nashville hot chicken or grilled chicken with romaine lettuce, ranch, shredded cheese, buffalo sauce, and fresh tomato in a soft tortilla.
In an interview with Arizona’s Family, Leavitt expressed his excitement about the partnership and his connection to ASU football. “It’s amazing to have my name associated with something people can order. It’s about making an impact, especially for kids who look up to me,” he shared.
Leavitt has helped ASU start the season strong, winning their first three games for the first time since 2019. “It’s electric right now,” he said. “To do this with my teammates and coaches after months of hard work is something special.”
In their recent game against Texas State, ASU faced a 14-point deficit in the second quarter but came back to win 31-28. “It’s huge and shows ASU’s winning culture. Teams that lose don’t pull off comebacks like that,” said Leavitt.
Despite their undefeated record, Leavitt feels ASU is still being underestimated, saying, “I try to ignore it, but I know we’re underdogs against Texas Tech, and I love that.”
Ten percent of the sales from the “Sam Leavitt QB 10 Wrap” will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital, with a minimum donation of $2,500. Leavitt also holds an NIL deal with Jones Ford Verde Valley, alongside his teammates Jordyn Tyson and Raleek Brown.
