Darrius Clemons is set to make his debut for Oregon State on Saturday when the Beavers face Purdue at 5:30 p.m. in Reser Stadium.
The junior wide receiver, who transferred from Michigan during the offseason, was suited up and participated in warmups. Clemons missed OSU’s first three games due to injury.
A former 4-star recruit from Portland’s Westview High School, Clemons played 22 games at Michigan, recording four receptions.
“Well, I’m not sure, since he’s never played in a Beaver uniform,” Bray joked when asked about how much Oregon State has missed Clemons. “But his physical ability, size, and speed could really challenge a defense. I’m excited to finally see him on the field.”
Offensive lineman Van Wells, Oregon State’s starting center, performed well in the first two games but was absent from last week’s game at Reser Stadium. Luke Vincic stepped in as the starter in his place.
Wells was one of three players Bray mentioned on Monday who are expected to return for the Purdue game.
