In 2023, Marcus Davenport, an edge rusher for the Minnesota Vikings, missed 13 of the team’s 17 games due to multiple injuries. Now with the Detroit Lions, an injury may cut his first season short after just three games.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell announced on Monday that Davenport might be sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season after suffering an elbow injury during the team’s win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Campbell described the injury as “likely season-ending,” though he noted that Davenport is seeking additional medical opinions before a final decision is made about his return this year.
