Burt Lauten, the Senior Director of Communications for the Pittsburgh Steelers, announced on Twitter that left guard Isaac Seumalo will be sidelined for the team’s Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Seumalo sustained a pectoral injury on August 28 and hadn’t participated in practice or games until returning earlier this week. He was a limited participant in practice from Wednesday through Friday. The Steelers listed him as doubtful on the final injury report, indicating he had a slim chance of making his season debut in Indianapolis.

However, he will miss his fourth consecutive game as he continues to recover. Seumalo started all 17 games for the Steelers last season after signing a three-year, $24 million contract in March 2023. He was drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played in 81 games (60 starts) and was a significant part of the offensive line during their Super Bowl run in 2022.

Rookie fourth-round pick Mason McCormick is expected to replace Spencer Anderson, who filled in for Seumalo in the first three games, and will start at left guard for the first time in his NFL career against the Colts.
