Oregon State entered this season with a fresh offensive coordinator, a new offensive line coach, a new running backs coach, and a two-player rotation at the top of their running back depth chart.
Despite these changes, the Beavers’ running game remains one of the nation’s best. In the first month, Oregon State leads the nation in time of possession (nearly 38 minutes per game) and ranks seventh in rushing offense (268 yards per game).
Starting running back Jam Griffin averages over 103 rushing yards per game (19th-best nationally), while Anthony Hankerson has scored seven rushing touchdowns (tied for 12th in the nation).
“I think offensively, the run game has been really, really good, and great at times,” coach Trent Bray commented in his first press conference following the bye week.
