Former 49ers standout Sam Darnold expresses regrets as his struggles intensify after leaving the team. Reports from the Vikings’ joint practice with the Browns indicate things are “not going well” for the quarterback.
According to @MatthewColler, Darnold had a rough day, throwing an interception while targeting Justin Jefferson on the sideline. Shortly after, he was sacked, and a Browns player taunted, “Darnold’s 1 for 12” on his passes.
This adds to growing concerns for Darnold, whose transition to the Vikings has been anything but smooth, sparking questions about his future as the team’s QB.
Sam Darnold recorded a passer rating of 85.1, accumulating 297 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception over 10 games during his time with the 49ers.
