Tigers Bolster Roster As They Make Suprising QB Trade Flip
Blake Hebert, a four-star quarterback from the Class of 2025, has decommitted from Clemson after being pledged for over a year. He has now announced his commitment to Notre Dame.
In a post on X late Monday afternoon, Hebert expressed his gratitude to the Clemson coaching staff and the program but stated, “I have chosen to withdraw my commitment and will spend my next four years at another institution.” He quickly followed this announcement by revealing his commitment to Notre Dame.

Until now, Hebert and Notre Dame seemed to have missed each other. He received an offer from the Fighting Irish in June 2023, but shortly after, he committed to Dabo Swinney and Clemson.
When five-star quarterback Deuce Knight switched his commitment to Auburn in early October, it opened the door for Hebert again, as Notre Dame reportedly made him their top quarterback target.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Hebert, hailing from Greenwich, Conn., is ranked as the 29th quarterback in the 2025 class. With his commitment, Notre Dame’s recruiting class now sits at 13th nationally.
