A key player for the Chicago Bears is confirmed to be parting ways, as stated by the general manager.

The Chicago Bears are receiving trade interest for running back Khalil Herbert, particularly after reports suggested the Minnesota Vikings considered him before deciding to go with Cam Akers. Ian Rapoport from NFL Network mentioned that other teams are likely to look into trading for Herbert ahead of the November 5 deadline.

Additionally, another notable offensive player is attracting interest from other teams. After dealing with injuries and concerns about his effort, the Bears seem to have reached a breaking point with Davis, replacing him with Matt Pryor. He was a healthy scratch during the game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars and appears to have lost his spot in the lineup to Bill Murray. Head coach Matt Eberflus has openly expressed frustration with the veteran guard, and it seems other teams are picking up on this, leading them to consider trade offers.

CHICAGO BEARS HAVE EXPERIENCE TRADING USELESS PIECES

GM Ryan Poles has proven to be adept at making trades. In 2022, despite former pass rusher Robert Quinn having little value by the deadline, the Chicago Bears managed to acquire a 4th-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles.

A year later, they traded wide receiver Chase Claypool to Miami for a 6th-round pick. Anyone claiming that Davis can’t bring in any value isn’t keeping up with the situation; there are usually one or two teams willing to take on a player with issues, believing their coaching staff can handle it. For the Bears, the priority is simply to move Davis. They might need to cover his remaining salary this season to facilitate a deal.
