Bears Coach Prepares for Epic Showdown in the Ultimate Mind Game
Someone needs to connect Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn with Bears coach Matt Eberflus to clarify their injury terminology.
In contrast, Quinn described quarterback Jayden Daniels as “week to week” due to a rib injury but indicated he might still play against the Bears on Sunday.
“The status for Jayden will be marked as week to week,” Quinn told reporters. “It’s a rib injury, and we’ll evaluate him throughout practice.”
Quinn expressed optimism, stating, “So it’s not something that will keep him out long-term.”

The Bears defense is preparing for Daniels, recognizing him as a significant run-pass threat.
I think this kid presents a lot of challenges,” linebacker T.J. Edwards said. “You saw what he accomplished last week with his legs. Their offensive scheme is clicking on all cylinders right now. They have strong skill players, a solid offensive line, and multiple talented backs. He’s doing a great job of orchestrating everything. It’s going to be a tough challenge for us.”
The NFC North right now looks like a Juggernaut.
– Vikings Defense is ferocious and offense are looking balanced and hard to stop.
– Lions look like a playoff favourite in the NFC
– Packers Defense taking the ball away every game and offensive pass attack looks good.

Daniels boasts an impressive 107 passer rating, with a league-leading 75.6% completion rate and 1,410 yards from 127 of 168 attempts, along with six touchdowns and two interceptions. In contrast, none of the quarterbacks the Bears have faced this season have exceeded a passer rating of 94.9 (C.J. Stroud). Collectively, the six quarterbacks have a combined passer rating of 78.5, completing 59.7% of their passes and tallying 37 touchdowns against 30 interceptions. However, some of these struggles can be attributed to a single game against the Bears’ strong pass defense, which currently leads the NFL with a passer rating allowed of just 72.8.
