Pittsburgh Steelers set their sights on snagging two star wide receivers on the trade block

After the Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 5-2 with a decisive win over the New York Jets, the pressure to trade for a wide receiver is increasing. Fans have even suggested acquiring Jets wide receiver Mike Williams, who is still on the trade market and could be a target for the Steelers.

However, ahead of this week’s games, several other wide receivers have caught the attention of NFL teams, and the Steelers might be involved. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jets receiver Garrett Wilson, who became the team’s WR2 following the Davante Adams trade, has drawn interest from other teams. While the Jets initially stated they wouldn’t trade him, that could change after their loss to the Steelers.

Additionally, the Los Angeles Rams have received inquiries about wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Kupp, a star who has been with the Rams his entire career, might only be traded if the team decides to overhaul their roster, especially as quarterback Matthew Stafford ages. Nonetheless, other teams are trying to negotiate for Kupp, making him another potential target.

The Steelers have about two weeks to pursue a deal to enhance their wide receiver corps, but they’re not alone in seeking help at the position after injuries hit hard in week 7.
