BREAKING: Steelers lose promising rookie WR for several weeks to injury

Steelers lose promising rookie WR for several weeks to injury. Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson has been placed on injured reserve and will be out for at least the next four games. He won’t be eligible to return until after the team’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns on November 21. However, sources indicate there are concerns about whether he will be ready by then, as he has a significant grade 2 hamstring strain that could keep him sidelined for up to six weeks.

Wilson initially injured his hamstring before the game against the New York Jets, but the condition worsened during Wednesday’s practice. He subsequently missed the next three practice sessions and was ruled out for the game against the Giants.

Previously, Wilson missed eight weeks due to a high ankle sprain sustained during training camp and was only active for the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he played just five snaps. Head coach Mike Tomlin noted that Wilson needed to demonstrate his abilities in practice to earn more playing time, but this latest injury significantly hampers that opportunity.
