Packers quarterback exits game against the Jaguars due to a left groin injury

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love exited Sunday’s game against the Jaguars in the third quarter due to a left groin injury.

 

 

 

 

Love fell to the ground near the sideline after throwing a pass to Josh Jacobs. Although he was bumped by Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker after the play, Love had been struggling with his leg throughout the game.

He appeared to aggravate his groin during the opening drive, starting to favor his left leg after an incomplete pass. He went into the medical tent and returned with his upper leg wrapped.

 

 

 

 

From that point on, he struggled to move effectively in the pocket. The team indicated he was questionable to return. He finished the game with 14 completions on 22 attempts for 196 yards and an interception, marking his league-leading ninth of the season.

Malik Willis took over in his place. Willis had previously won both starts last month while stepping in for Love.

 

 

 

 

The Packers also lost rookie safety Evan Williams, who was ruled out in the third quarter due to a hamstring injury.
