Alabama’s Top Starter Shuts Down due to serious injury. Alabama wide receiver and return specialist Cole Adams will miss the remainder of the season due to a lower body injury.
Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed the news on Monday, just ahead of Saturday’s matchup against No. 14 LSU. He did not provide further details about the injury, which occurred early in the team’s game against Missouri two weeks ago, prior to their open date.
Adams, who has recorded six receptions for 94 yards this season, has also served as the team’s primary punt returner. He earned his first start at receiver against South Carolina after injuries sidelined Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice, tallying two catches for 57 yards.

Earlier this season, Adams also left the South Florida game early due to an injury.
“Seeing the effort he put in after his first injury really showed a lot about who he is, both as a person and as a player,” DeBoer said. “He’s got incredible toughness, but unfortunately, he’s facing another setback now.”
