BREAKING: Seahawks Sign Lucrative Deal With Top Star Defenseman

The Seattle Seahawks have signed rookie linebacker Jamie Sheriff to their practice squad, filling the final available spot after releasing linebacker Michael Dowell earlier in the week.

Sheriff, a late addition to the team during training camp, made an immediate impact in the preseason, recording eight tackles and three sacks over three games. The South Alabama product was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers after the preseason and appeared in one game for them before being waived in September.

Seattle initially signed Sheriff to the practice squad on September 13. He made his regular-season debut with the Seahawks as a gameday elevation for the Week 6 Thursday Night Football game against the 49ers, where he played eight special teams snaps. Sheriff was released from the practice squad on October 30 but is now rejoining the team during their bye week.
