Minnesota Vikings-Jacksonville Jaguars Inactives: Starting QB to miss game

Trevor Lawrence will miss Sunday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars due to a left shoulder injury. While the Jaguars’ quarterback was limited in practice this week, sources from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini indicate that Lawrence’s season may be in jeopardy.

With Lawrence sidelined, backup quarterback Mac Jones will have wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabriel Davis available. Thomas, who had been dealing with a chest injury, is cleared to play, and Davis returns after missing last week’s loss to the Eagles.

The Jaguars‘ list of inactives also includes former Vikings offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland, defensive lineman Esezi Otomewo, defensive end Myles Cole, and defensive tackle Maason Smith.

The Vikings will have linebacker Blake Cashman back for Sunday’s game after missing the last three due to turf toe. Cashman is an important asset to Minnesota’s defense, particularly in stopping the run, and also plays a key role in communicating with the coaching staff during games. He has recorded 40 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack this season.

Minnesota’s inactive list includes quarterback Brett Rypien, cornerbacks Fabian Moreau and Dwight McGlothern, defensive tackle Levi Drake Rodriguez, and offensive linemen Dan Feeney and Walter Rouse. The game will kick off at noon CT at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.
