Alabama Head Coach Shared Report Regarding Top Star`s Future
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — This season, the Southeastern Conference implemented a policy requiring mandatory injury reports for football, basketball, and baseball ahead of all conference games. However, the requirement applies only to SEC matchups.
Although Alabama is deep into its SEC schedule, Saturday’s game against Mercer at Bryant-Denny Stadium will mark the Crimson Tide’s 10th game of the season. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+/SEC Network+.
Since no injury reports have been released for either team, here’s whatBR
HUSKY DeVonta Smith: Undisclosed Injury vs. LSU“
“
With DeVonta, that would be something that, I think just throughout the week we’re continuing to manage and kind of seeing where he’s at. I haven’t heard the update today, but I think he’llbe fine as the week continues on.”
Right Guard Jaeden Roberts: Undisclosed Injury vs. LSU
“
He could have come back and we just didn’t want to push it,” DeBoer said during Wednesday’s Hey Coach show. “He’s working through the week and doing everything he can to get on the field Saturday. So I think it’s promising that he’ll be available, ready to go in some capacity.
WOLF Que Robinson: Arm Injury vs. LSU
With Que’s injury, it’s now clear that he will be out for the remainder of the season, which is truly unfortunate. He’s an incredibly special person in every way, and it’s tough to see someone who gives so much to the team go through something like this.
“When I think about Que, it’s not just about what he does on the field. Off the field, he’s always mentoring and helping out his teammates. He’s always putting others first and cares deeply about the team and this program. That’s what really stands out about him — his impact goes beyond game days. He’s just a genuinely great person who has poured so much into this place.”
Wide Receiver Cole Adams: Leg Injury vs. Missouri
With his injury, he’ll be out for the year,” DeBoer said on Nov. 4. “We had to deal with that last week, and unfortunately, it’s a tough blow because Cole is a guy who gives everything he has. He had an injury earlier in the season, and at the time, we probably thought it might keep him out longer than it did.
“Seeing the way he fought through that first injury really showed a lot about who he is, both as a person and a player. His toughness and determination were clear. Unfortunately, he’s now dealing with another injury — this time a lower body issue. It’ll keep him out for the rest of the season.
Defensive back Keon Sabb: Foot injury vs. Tennessee
Keon Sabb has a lower extremity injury,” DeBoer said on Oct. 21. “We’re still in the process of gathering more information, but we do expect him to be out for a while. It could be an extended period, and we’ll continue to evaluate his situation as we move forward.”
