Notre Dame Set to Land Talented Offense Star in Stunning Move

Saturday’s visit to South Bend could very well be Sullivan Garvin’s last trip to Notre Dame before the 2026 Michigan offensive lineman commits to a school.

If it turns out to be his final visit, things couldn’t have gone much better.

“It was great,” Garvin, a standout from Allegan High School, told Irish Sports Daily. “It was another really good visit. It was awesome. I got to be on the 50-yard line to watch warm-ups and everything. It was sweet seeing Coach (Joe) Rudolph again, as well as the whole staff, including Chad Bowden. It was just a great experience.”

Garvin had previously visited Notre Dame over the summer for a camp and attended a game in September, where he received an offer from the Irish.

The message from Coach Rudolph and the Notre Dame staff during his latest visit was simple but impactful.

“He just reiterated, ‘We really want you here,’” Garvin shared about his conversation with Rudolph.

Garvin also had the opportunity to speak with head coach Marcus Freeman, who echoed a similar sentiment.

“I got to talk with Coach Freeman for quite a while, and that was his message as well,” Garvin said. “The whole staff and everyone there told me they believe I’m the best offensive lineman in the country. That was really surprising to hear. It was awesome. I’m really appreciative of that.”

Garvin, who has also received offers from schools like Indiana, Purdue, Washington, and Kansas, described the praise from Notre Dame as “surreal.”

“Notre Dame is considered O-Line University, so just to hear that from them is very flattering and humbling,” he said. “I’m just really thankful. It’s definitely special. It was great to be back and see everyone again.”

Garvin still has two more visits scheduled this fall.

“We’re going to Minnesota next week, then Indiana, and that will wrap it up,” he said.

After that, Garvin plans to enter decision-making mode.

“I’ll finish my last few visits and then I’ll officially make a decision,” he said.

As of now, Notre Dame holds the top spot on his list.

“Definitely number one. Without a doubt,” Garvin said.
