The list of Semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 was revealed live this morning on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, following a reduction from an initial group of 167 nominees announced in September. The next step will be a further cut to 15 Finalists in the Modern-Era Players category, expected later this year.

Reduction voting is also underway for the Seniors, Coach, and Contributor categories, with the names of those Finalists to be announced in December. In total, 20 Finalists will be presented at the Selection Committee’s annual meeting next year, leading up to Super Bowl LIX: 15 Modern-Era Players, three Seniors, one Coach, and one Contributor.

The Hall of Fame’s bylaws specify that between four and eight new members will be selected in each class, although there is no fixed number of Enshrinees.

This year’s reduction voting is being conducted via online platforms, with oversight from Ernst & Young LLP, which has handled the Hall’s selection process since the Centennial Class of 2020. EY’s Agreed-Upon Procedures ensure the completeness of ballots and proper tabulation in accordance with the Hall of Fame’s established bylaws.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 will be announced during NFL Honors in New Orleans in February, and the Enshrinement Ceremony will take place in Canton in August.
