Top Offense Talented Star commits to Oregon Ducks

On3’s recruiting team recently updated its rankings for the top prospects in the 2025 class, and wide receiver Dakorien Moore stands out as the only Oregon commit in the top 25. Moore, ranked No. 7 overall in the On300, is the centerpiece of Oregon’s upcoming recruiting class.

Although Moore caused some buzz during the Ducks’ game against Wisconsin by scheduling an official visit to Florida after the Gators’ victory over LSU, he has consistently affirmed that his commitment remains firmly with Oregon.

As the leader of Oregon’s No. 8-ranked recruiting class, Moore is one of just three five-star prospects currently committed to the Ducks, further solidifying Coach Dan Lanning’s program as a top contender in college football.

Cody Bellaire, a national scout for On3, had high praise for Dakorien Moore’s exceptional talent and future at Oregon.

Dakorien Moore’s talent as a wide receiver can be summed up in one word: rare,” Bellaire said. “From his fluid movement and precise route running to his ability to effortlessly separate from defenders and attack the ball in the air, Moore’s skills are extraordinary. His top-end speed is impressive, and it shows both on the football field and in track.”

Bellaire went on to emphasize Moore’s versatility, explaining, “Moore has an innate ability to track the football downfield, making him a dangerous vertical threat. His knack for adjusting the pace of his routes keeps defenders off-balance, allowing him to create separation at any level of the field. Despite standing at 5-foot-11.5, he plays like a 6-foot-3 receiver, going up to attack the football with authority.”

Bellaire also praised Moore’s explosiveness and ball skills: “His ability to high-point the football is exceptional for someone of his stature. He consistently wins contested catches with ease. Once the ball is in his hands, Moore has the vision and quickness to make defenders miss in tight spaces, turning short catches into long touchdowns.”

Moore is a threat at every level of the field whether behind the line of scrimmage, at the sticks, in the red zone, or deep downfield.

Bellaire concluded, “He is one of the most gifted playmakers at wide receiver in recent recruiting cycles. He’s truly a rare talent.”

Moore made his commitment to Oregon on July 4, 2024, despite receiving offers from elite programs like Texas, Ohio State, LSU, and others. Since then, programs such as Texas and Florida have attempted to lure him away from Oregon’s 2025 class, but Moore’s commitment to the Ducks remains strong.
