Three-Player Deal Sends Star to Milwaukee Brewers from Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies have put their star slugger, Alec Bohm, on the trade block. Despite dominating the NL East for most of the 2024 regular season, the Phillies faced a disappointing playoff exit. Bohm played a pivotal role in their postseason push and was even a participant in the 2024 Home Run Derby. While his performance was solid enough to keep him in the lineup, the latest rumors suggest that Philadelphia is now planning to send Bohm to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Alec Bohm is at the center of a three-player trade proposal between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brew Crew is reportedly sending right-handed pitcher Devin Williams and Bishop Letson to Philadelphia, while the Phillies are expected to receive Brett Wichrowski in return.
In this trade, the Brewers will acquire Bohm, and there’s also speculation that third baseman Brock Wilken could be involved as a potential fourth player in the deal.
The Phillies are set to receive three players in the proposed deal, but the question remains: will the Brewers be satisfied with just Alec Bohm in return? Adding Bohm to the Brewers’ lineup would certainly strengthen their offense.
He would make a great fit alongside William Contreras and Willy Adames, and his addition would also reunite him with former Phillies star Rhys Hoskins. If this trade goes through, it could prove to be a win-win for both teams, helping the Brewers bolster their lineup while giving the Phillies a solid return.
